Employees are leaving their managers, not their jobs…
Career journeys don’t always follow a straight path. Employees sometimes need to take a break at the crossroads and chart a new course. Although the reasons for these breaks may vary, according to a survey, one of the primary reasons is problems with managers.
According to a poll conducted by Kerem Bozokluoğlu, the Country Manager for Industry Technology Transformation and Digital Content Creator at Insider, via Instagram, 81% of the participants stated that they had resigned from a job before. Among those, 57% attributed their departure to problems with their leaders or managers. Other reasons cited were “better conditions elsewhere” (20%), “company culture” (17%), and “others” (7%). These results indicate, in Bozokluoğlu’s words, that employees are leaving not the company but their leaders.
